Happy Veterans' Day!

Today I am grateful for every man and woman and family who has served this country and is serving this country. Amelia made this star with my cousin's husband's name to hang in her classroom today. We are so grateful for his sacrifice (and also my cousin's who often time is home alone with four kids far away from family).
In Georgia we lived next door to a man who was a former POW in WWII and I could sit and listen to his stories for HOURS about his experiences and sacrifices he made. To this day, Mr. George suffers the pain of extreme frost bite to his feet and had to move to Phoenix to get out of the humidity and the cold that would cause his feet such pain...fifty years later. I am just so grateful for the people who serve this wonderful country.

I love that you addressed Veteran's day. Everyone treats it like a day off (not at school), but they forget to acknowledge the veterans, who have made a huge sacrafice for this country. That is great!

That is so sweet of Amelia! My kids pray each night for those fighting in the war. It means a lot to me to be able to teach our kids to love their country and be grateful for all we have as Americans.

I love veterens and veterans day. I think sometimes we don't appreciate what others have gone through so we can have what we have.
It's too bad that we will have to sit back and watch Barack Obama destroy our freedom and replace it with socialism.

Thats right I said it and I stand behind it.

Amen to that. We are so lucky to have people who make those sacrifices.
